East and Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
With a rich history of innovation, a strong brand portfolio, and a worldwide presence, Kraft Foods International
has earned its reputation as a significant player in the food industry. And, it is beginning another exciting chapter
with the recent acquisition of Nabisco Holdings Corp. by parent company Philip Morris Companies Inc. On a worldwide basis,
the new Kraft Foods with Nabisco becomes a $35 billion revenue company, with $5.5 billion in operating income, based on
1999 proforma combined results.
In large measure, our success comes from a portfolio of outstanding brands -- some of the best-known food names worldwide, sold,
served and enjoyed in over 140 countries - Kraft and Philadelphia cheeses, Suchard, Milka and CÙte'd'Or chocolates, Maxwell
House, Jacobs and Carte Noire coffees. With Nabisco, well established brands such as OREO, RITZ and Premium crackers and
Club Social are added to the list.
In 1999, KFI had 23 brands with revenues of more than U.S. $100 million in annual sales. Through these brands and many others, we hope to "satisfy the tastes of life" of our many consumers worldwide.
