Roger K. Deromedi, President & CEO, Kraft Foods International
Roger K. Deromedi was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Kraft Foods International, headquartered in Rye Brook, New York, in 1999.
He brings to his post more than 20 years of experience in the food industry in Europe, Asia and North America.
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Deromedi was Group Vice President Kraft Foods International & President Asia Pacific. Before that, he served as
President Western Europe, Kraft Jacobs Suchard in Zurich, Switzerland, overseeing the region's confectionery, coffee and cheese/grocery business.
Earlier, he had been Executive Vice President and Area Director France, Iberia and Benelux, based in Paris.
Prior to moving to Europe, Mr. Deromedi held a variety of important management positions in Kraft USA. As Executive Vice President and General Manager of Kraft Foods' Kraft
Cheese Division, he was responsible for the full line of Kraft cheeses sold in the United States. As Executive Vice President and General Manager of the company's Specialty
Products Division, he was responsible for Kraft's cultured products and other specialty businesses.
Earlier, Mr. Deromedi served as Vice President of Marketing for Kraft USA's Grocery Products Division and Retail Cheese Division. He joined Kraft in 1988 as Vice President
Corporate Development, after spending more than a decade with General Foods in marketing positions for its Beverage Division and Maxwell House Coffee Company.
He earned a B.A. degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a M.B.A. degree from Stanford University.
