Paul E. Carothers, Vice President Corporate Affairs, Kraft Foods International

Paul E. Carothers was appointed Vice President Corporate Affairs for Kraft Foods International in 1999. Based in Brussels, Belgium, Mr. Carothers is responsible for all corporate affairs programs including communications and media relations, government relations and public policy, community relations and corporate contributions.

From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Carothers served as Vice President Government Affairs, Kraft Foods North America in Washington, D.C. In that role, he was responsible for government relations programs on behalf of Kraft Foods in the United States.

From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Carothers was Director of Federal Government Affairs for the American Plastics Council, a Washington, D.C.-based trade association focused on environmental issues.

Prior to joining the private sector, Mr. Carothers was employed from 1984 to 1990 in senior staff roles for the U.S. Congress. Mr. Carothers' service included positions as a professional staff member of a Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives and as Legislative Director to a U.S. Senator.

Trained in biology, Mr. Carothers holds a Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University, a M.S. degree from California State University, Northridge, and a B.S. degree from Humboldt State University.
