Ronald J. S. Bell, President European Union Region, Kraft Foods International

Ronald Bell was appointed President European Union Region for Kraft Foods International in 1998. Based in London, England, his areas of responsibility include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. He also oversees the company's pan-European coffee, confectionery and cheese/grocery strategies as well as the European Away-from-Home business and the World Travel Retail business (formerly Duty Free).

During 25 years with the company, Mr. Bell has held a variety of positions in Europe and North America. Prior to his current assignment, he served as Executive Vice President Northern Europe, responsible for the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Nordic countries and the European Away From Home business, until this region merged with Western Europe to form the European Union Region. Previously, Mr. Bell was Vice President and Managing Director of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In 1988, Mr. Bell was named Vice President Marketing and Business Development for Kraft General Foods Europe, following the acquisition of General Foods Corporation by Philip Morris Companies Inc. in 1985. He had been Marketing Director for General Foods United Kingdom and, earlier, Marketing Director for General Foods Canada. He joined General Foods United Kingdom in 1974.

Mr. Bell earned a B.A. degree in Business and Administration from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
